Year 2
There are three classes in Year 2, all with a teacher and a full time Learning Support Assistant. The class teacher is responsible for pastoral care and the teaching of English, mathematics, science, history, geography and PSHEC (Personal, Social, Health, Education and Citizenship).
The children are taught music, swimming and physical education by subject specialists. Arabic and Islamic Studies are taught to our Arabic speaking and Muslim children in Year 2.
Timetables are available via the parent portal. Reading books are sent home every week and occasionally we will set the children some maths and English homework if we feel it is appropriate. Homework should not take more than 30 minutes at this stage as children are already tired from a full day’s work at school.
