Reception
In Reception there are three classes, each with a teacher and a full time Learning Support Assistant. There are also three auxiliary assistants.
In Reception the class teacher is responsible for pastoral care and the teaching of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. All Reception classes have weekly swimming lessons taught by qualified swimming teachers.
Timetables are issued to all parents at the start of each academic year. Children in Reception are taught music and physical education by subject specialists. In Reception, parents are encouraged to read with their children on a daily basis.
In the early years from KG to Reception we plan daily teaching and learning activities that complement the children’s interests and developmental needs. Teaching and learning takes place both indoor and outdoor in our specially adapted learning environments.
