Applications for academic year 2025/2026 can now be made.
Please note that while applications can be made at this time, admissions assessments will begin in the spring of 2025.
Assessments will be provided dependent on availability of space in the relevant year group and submission of an application does not guarantee an assessment.
Applications are not processed on a first-come, first-serve basis and we invite you to review our Admissions Policy for further details.
If we are able to offer an assessment to your child, a non-refundable assessment administration fee of 75 KD per child will be requested in the early months of 2025.

YEAR 9
We are delighted to announce that we are officially introducing Year 9 at TES in September 2025, before expanding into Year 10 in September 2026 and Year 11 in September 2027.
This is an exciting time in the development of TES and represents the largest growth in our school community throughout our 71 year history.
Applications can now be placed for Year 9 - 2025/2026, however please note that assessments will be arranged dependent on availability of space within the year group and that submission of an application does not guarantee an assessment.

Terms and Conditions
I/WE agree that assessments are provided dependent on availability of space in the relevant year group(s).
I/WE agree that a non-refundable assessment administration fee of 75 KWD per child will apply if an assessment is able to be provided.
I/WE agree that assessment results are provided as an accept/decline outcome and that we are unable to provide detailed feedback on any assessment completed.
I/WE agree to give, in writing, either 6 (six) weeks term-time written notice for Terms 1 or 2, or 10 (ten) weeks term-time written notice for Term 3 of our child’s withdrawal from The English School (the “School”), or pay one term’s fees in lieu of notice. In calculating any of the abovementioned periods, any days when The School is closed shall be excluded.
I/We understand that the school can only initiate the pupil leaving process once parents have officially informed the School in writing that their child is leaving the School. Once the leaving process has been initiated, places for the next term and academic year are forfeited and no longer reserved.
I/We agree that a non-refundable Registration Fee of KD100 is payable when invoiced. This amount will be deducted from the first tuition fee invoice raised. Failure to pay this deposit within 2 (two) weeks of notification may result in the place being offered to another candidate.
I/We agree that in order that the School can best provide for all the social and academic needs of my child that the offer of a place is conditional on the successful completion of a 3 month probationary period during which both academic progress and behaviour shall be taken into account.
I/We agree to provide a copy of my child’s most recent school report and any relevant reports when requested to do so by the School.
I/We agree that my child is fully toilet trained and understand that his or her place at the School may be temporarily withdrawn if this condition is not met.
I/We agree to abide by the School Regulations as may be in force from time to time; we confirm that we have received and reviewed a copy of the current School Regulations prior to submitting this Registration Form.
I/We agree that continued enrollment at the School is conditional upon continued maintenance by the child of satisfactory academic progress and good behaviour as determined by the School’s Leadership Team in its absolute discretion and in line with Ministry of Education regulations.
I/We agree that as per Ministry of Education guidelines, it is mandatory that all Muslim children attend Islamic Studies lessons from the start of Year 1 and for the duration of their schooling. The lessons will be in Arabic or English depending on the child’s nationality and language given on the application. The school is required to provide the names of all Muslim children in school and our records are checked regularly to ensure that we are adhering to these regulations.
I/We agree that as per Ministry of Education guidelines, it is mandatory that all Arabic speaking Arab nationals, are taught Arabic for Arabs, from Year 1.
I/We agree that for all children at TES, the continuance into the next academic year group is not guaranteed. The school assess pupils and monitors their progress as a matter of course. On occasion, through dialogue, between the school and parents, a child may be deemed to need additional support, 1:1 support or might benefit from retention in the same year group (repeat a school year). In addition, and after ongoing consultation with parents, the school may decide to withdraw the offer of a school place for the next academic year.
